The salad greens were pathetic and the shrimp was raw. I ordered a simple Cesar salad with grilled shrimp. What little rice that it was served over was not cooked well. My husband ordered their “veal stir fry” special…it was soupy, very little basmati rice….obviously the kitchen staff preparing this $16.00 dish have never eaten a “stir fry” dish before. Sushi is really all about the rice, and they can’t pull it off here. We had a rainbow roll and the rice was almost crunchy. The sushi has come back, but it is not good, particularly the rice.

Over the past year or so, the food quality and service has dramatically declined while the. We love supporting our local restaurants, and this one was rather good for some time. My husband and I have been coming to Bistro 29 since it originally opened. Compliments to the chef and staff at Bistro29, we were more than pleasantly surprised, and we will surely return! My date (hubby) ordered the pork chop with the lyonnaise potatoes and veggies, and I ordered the salmon! Dinners come with two sides, and I must give the veggies double thumbs up! My salmon was divine, complemented by the veggies, micro greens, and tiny mushrooms! The vegetables for the day included small rainbow carrots, broccolini, and were cooked to perfection. We went to Bistro29 without a reservation at 5:00 PM, and were greeted and seated immediately by a cheerful hostess!
